INGREDIENTS
– ¼ cup olive oil– ¼ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce– ¼ cup red wine vinegar– 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce– 2 tablespoons dijon mustard– 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar– 2 cloves garlic minced or grated– ½ teaspoon fresh thyme– Dash of your favorite hot sauce– Salt/pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and use a whisk to mix them well. Taste it and add more salt or pepper if you want.
Step 1
Put 2 pounds of chicken (see note) in a zip-top bag and pour the marinade over it. Try to get rid of as much air as you can.
Step 2
Put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes and up to 8 hours. Take the chicken out of the marinade when you're ready to cook it.
Step 3
Save some of the marinade to baste the chicken while it's cooking on the grill if you want to.
Step 4
Just make sure to let any sauce that you use for basting cook all the way through.
