– 1 pound ground beef– ½ pound ground pork– 1 cup Italian breadcrumb– ¾ cup Parmesan cheese – 1 small onion– 2 cloves garlic– 2 large egg– ½ cup milk– 1 cup marinara sauce– 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning– salt and pepper – ½ cup mozzarella cheese
Ingredient
1
Heat the oven to 375°F. Line a loaf or baking pan with parchment paper or lightly oil it for easy removal.
2
Mix ground beef, pork, Italian breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, diced onion, minced garlic, eggs, and milk in a large bowl.
3
Add ½ cup marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add everything and mix thoroughly without overmixing.
4
Shape the ingredients into a loaf in the bread pan. Lightly press to condense the mixture.
5
Place the remaining ½ cup of marinara sauce on top of the meatloaf. Bake the meatloaf for 50-60 minutes.
6
The internal temperature of the meatloaf should reach 160 degrees Fahrenheit, and it should be cooked all the way through.
7
Place the meatloaf back in the oven and top it with the shredded mozzarella cheese during the last few minutes of baking.
8
Bake the cheese until it's bubbling and melted. Before slicing, take the meatloaf out of the oven and give it ten minutes to rest.
9
This facilitates the meatloaf's setting and eases slicing. Add freshly cut parsley as a garnish.
10
Slices of meatloaf can be served with mashed potatoes and more marinara sauce on the side, if preferred.
