Making juicy, feta-filled Greek bison burgers in 15 minutes is simple. The burgers are great grilled, charred, or air-fried. Ground bison is leaner and protein-rich than beef!
INGREDIENTS
– 1 lb lean ground bison meat– 1 tbsp Dijon mustard– 1 tsp dried oregano– 1 tsp garlic powder– 1 tsp paprika– 1 tsp salt, or more to taste– ½ tsp ground pepper– ½ cup crumbled feta cheese– Optional: 1 cup baby spinach, finely chopped– Toppings: butter lettuce leaves, red onion, toasted buns, tomato, ketchup, or mustard
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix ground bison, Dijon mustard, dried oregano, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and feta cheese in a large bowl.
Step 1
Add finely chopped baby spinach if desired. Make 4 equal-sized, ½-inch thick patties from the mixture.
Step 2
Start a skillet or grill pan on medium heat or heat your grill to medium-high. Use oil-soaked paper towels or spray to grease the grill.
Step 3
For medium-well burgers, cook for 2–4 minutes per side. Set the cooking time to your desired doneness.
Step 4
Bison burgers can be air-fried. After preheating your air fryer to 370°F (187°C), cook the burgers for 5 minutes on one side.
Step 5
Flip them and cook for 2-3 more minutes until done. Put your chosen toppings and buns on your cooked burgers.
Step 6
Top sourdough or buttery toasted buns with lettuce, tomato, red onion, and your favorite condiments. Greek salad on the side. Enjoy!
