Testy Chili Cheese Dogs Recipe

Chilli Cheese Dogs are a summer staple that are delicious, easy, and fun. They suit youngsters and adults! 


Chili Sauce: – 1 pound ground beef – 1 teaspoon chili powder – 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin – 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder – 1/4 teaspoon onion powder – ¼ teaspoon black pepper – pinch of ground ginger – pinch of ground cinnamon – 8 ounces tomato sauce – 1/3 cup ketchup – 1/4 cup water – 1 teaspoon yellow mustard – 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce – 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce – salt to taste Chili Cheese Dogs: – 8 hot dogs – 8 hot dog buns – 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese – Finely chopped white onions optional



While breaking the ground beef into fine crumbs, brown it in a large skillet over medium heat until it is completely cooked through and no longer pink in the middle. Get rid of the fat.  


After the beef has been added to the pan, combine the chilli powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, ginger, and cinnamon.   


Mix all of these ingredients together. In order for the flavours to become more fragrant, allow the spices to "fry" in the fat for thirty seconds.  


Put in the tomato sauce, ketchup, water, yellow mustard, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce, and whisk everything together until it is well combined.  


For fifteen minutes, cover the pot and let it simmer while stirring it occasionally. When necessary, add salt to taste and season with salt. Put aside for later.  


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. The hot dogs should be cooked all the way through on the grill over medium-high heat.  


Put the hot dogs inside the hot dog buns, and then put the buns and hot dogs into a baking dish that has enough room for all of them. Spread the chilli sauce on top of each hot dog in a uniform layer.  


The cheese should be distributed equally throughout the tops. Put into the oven and bake for five to eight minutes, or until the cheese has melted, whichever comes first. The onions should be diced and served on top.
