Magic in the Middle Cookies Recipe

Cookies made from chocolate peanut butter cups! A smooth, sweet and salty peanut butter filling fills these chewy chocolate peanut butter cookies made in one bowl with a whisk. 

Peanut Butter Middle – 180g peanut butter creamy about 3/4 cup – 20g or 2 tablespoons maple syrup – Pinch salt Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie – 113g or ½ cup unsalted butter – 210g or 1 cup granulated sugar – 50g creamy peanut butter – ¼ tsp fine sea salt – 1 tsp pure vanilla extract – 1 large egg – ½ tsp baking soda – 50g or ½ cup dutch process cocoa – 120g or 1 cup all purpose flour fluff the flour and sprinkle into the cup if using volume measurements (do not pack it in!)




Combine peanut butter and maple syrup. Use a small plate or parchment-lined cookie sheet to drop 1 tablespoon of the mix. Freeze for 20 minutes to firm.

STEP  1 .

Heat butter in the microwave without sputtering to avoid liquid loss. Add sugar and whisk well. Combine peanut butter, salt, vanilla, and egg and whisk well. Fold in cocoa, flour

, and baking soda with a rubber spatula. Leave tea towel-covered on the counter for 30 minutes. Heat the oven to 350 F.

Prepare two standard-sized cookie sheets with parchment. To make a sugared topping, mix ¼ cup granulated sugar and a pinch of salt. Place

1.5–2 tablespoons of cookie dough on baking sheet. After flattening a mound of cookie dough with your thumbs, place the peanut butter in the center and wrap the dough around it.

The ball can be smoothed out by rolling it between your palms. Using two fingers, press them down on the cookie sheet to help them spread throughout the sheet.

Using sugar, dip the item in it. Repeat the process with the remaining cookies. 10 to 12 minutes of baking time for cookies.
