On low speed, alternating flour mixture and milk, starting and finishing with flour. Mix until mixed after each addition. Do not overmix or mix quickly.

Fill greased and floured bundt or 10-inch tube pan with batter. A 325-degree oven is used. We baked our cake for 1 hour 30 minutes.

Bake times vary by pan, oven, etc. To be safe, peek in by 1 hour, 10 minutes. If the top browns, loosely cover with aluminium foil.

The cake is done when a wooden skewer inserted into it comes out clean or with crumbs. Detach from pan after 10 minutes on a wire rack.

For optimal texture and flavour, serve this cake at room temperature after refrigerating or freezing.Mix lemon juice and sugar.Microwave one minute. Sugar should dissolve in heated mixture.

If sugar crystals form on the spoon after swirling the hot mixture, microwave for a few seconds. (Alternatively, heat and dissolve the mixture on the hob).To add lemon flavour, brush this syrup on the cake's top, bottom, and sides.

Brush syrup on the cake's top (which will become the bottom) when it's baked.Brush more lemon simple syrup on the top and sides of the heated cake after turning it out. Let that settle in before brushing extra syrup on the cake

Mix sugar, coconut extract, and 2–3 tablespoons milk. Starting with 2 tablespoons milk, add more as needed.Use a piping bag with a snipped tip to drizzle on your cake.Sugared, flaked coconut was added for adornment.
