Lantana Plant: Gloriously Bold And Brilliant Flower

In warmer climates, lantana is a perennial, but in colder climes, it is an annual or houseplant. Cold-weather hanging baskets of trailing lantana species look fantastic outside and indoors. 

Lantanas spread, making them good groundcovers. Immediately reduce weeds. Plant lantanas for their colorful blossoms. Hummingbirds and butterflies visit lentenas. 

Flower hues include red, orange, yellow, pink, and purple. Because of their umbrella shape, they produce umbels of flowers.

Umbels attract pollinators because they offer a wide landing platform for butterflies and hummingbirds and small blooms for sweat bees, wasps, and hoverflies. 

Like petrol or sour lemon, lantana leaves smell. Tangible lantana leaves smell. Scent attracts flower-loving bees. Tropical Africa, Central and South America grow lantanas. They endure heat and drought once planted. 

To prevent native species expansion and destruction, sterile ground cover plants are being grown. This should be considered when planting lantana.
