Place all meatball ingredients in a large bowl. Mash the ingredients with your hands to evenly distribute them throughout the meatballs.

Use the paddle attachment on your kitchen mixer to mix the meatball mixture if you have a stand mixer.

4

Make 14 equal-sized meatballs with the ingredients. You can use a cookie scoop, but I prefer rolling the meat with my hands to keep the meatballs together.

5

In a large skillet, heat two to three tablespoons avocado oil (or other high-temperature cooking oil) over high heat.

My 12-inch nonstick skillet works, but a huge cast iron skillet does too. Get the oil sizzling for a few minutes.

7

Arrange the meatballs in a single layer on the heated skillet and sear for 2 minutes. Turn meatballs and brown for 2 more minutes.

Pour sauce into skillet. It should boil instantly. If the combination gets out of control, decrease the heat to medium-high or medium.

Turn the meatballs once or twice until they are done, about 2-3 minutes or until the sauce thickens. A meat thermometer can measure meatball core temperature.

I cook well-done beef around 160 degrees Fahrenheit to keep it juicy. Serve meatballs with sides as an appetiser or main dish.

If desired, add sesame seeds and green onions. These meatballs with brown rice and sauteed vegetables make a complete supper.
