Delicious Crockpot Hot Chocolate Recipe 

Slow cooker hot chocolate is the richest, creamiest, and most indulgent! This easy-to-make crockpot hot chocolate works for parties and satisfys even the largest chocolate appetites.  


– 2 Ghirardelli semi-sweet chocolate bars 4-ounces each, coarsely chopped – 1 Ghirardelli 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate bar 4-ounces, coarsely chopped – 7 cups whole milk – 1 cup heavy cream OR half-and-half – 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14-ounces (see note below) – pinch of fine sea salt – 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract Optional Topping – whipped cream – marshmallows – candy cane piece – chopped peppermint bark – salted caramel sauce


Putting everything into a big slow cooker and setting it to low heat for two hours.   

Step 1

Make sure the chocolate is fully melted and mixed into the milk by whisking it in from time to time.   

Step 2

When you make this, you can use 2% milk instead of whole milk, but it will not be as thick or rich.   

Step 3

You can make it more alcoholic by adding Kahlua, Baileys, peppermint schnapps, or something else.
