This dessert is serious. It is dedicated to providing a chocolate hit! A cocoa-dusted, truffle-like chocolate torte is all it needs! Chocolatey goodness without frosting or sauce.
Warm the oven up to 350°F/180°C and prepare an 8-inch cake pan.
2
Mix the eggs and sugar in a bowl until the mixture is thick and pale.
3
In 30-second bursts, melt the chocolate and butter together in the microwave. Pour the melted chocolate and butter into the egg and sugar mixture and stir until everything is well mixed.
4
Add the cocoa powder, ground almonds, flour, and salt, and mix them together. You can use the whisk again!
5
Put the batter into the cake pan and level the top. When you stick a skewer in the middle and pull it out, it should come out with moist crumbs on it, not clean batter.
6
After letting it cool down, put it in the fridge for at least three hours before serving.
7
Take it out of the pan and sprinkle it with cocoa powder or icing sugar when it's time to serve.
