Make Chocoalte Orange Cakes
Preheat oven to 350°F / 180°C and prepare two 8-inch cake pans. Mix the zest of two oranges in a large bowl.

Juice oranges to ¼ cup (60ml) in a separate bowl, then add to the bowl with zest. Put all wet and dry ingredients (except hot water) in the bowl with orange zest and juice.

Make Chocolate Orange Filling
Zest the orange and add milk, vanilla, and two tablespoons sugar to a saucepan. Reserve orange for frosting.

2 ½ cups Whole Milk, 1 Orange, 2 tsp Vanilla
Mix the egg yolks with the remaining sugar, flour, and cornflour in a large bowl. Set aside.

On low heat, slowly heat the milk mixture in the saucepan.Whisk a little warm milk mixture into the egg yolks.Whisk the egg yolk mixture with a little more milk. Stir milk into egg yolks until fully incorporated.

Optional chocolate ganacheSet aside chocolate in a bowl.
To make 1 cup chopped chocolate, zest and peel an orange and set aside.
