A simple cod recipe for the air fryer that tastes like citrus, chili, and sugar. A simple main dish that is high in protein and great for weeknight meals.
– 1.5 lbs cod cut into 4 individual filets– ¼ cup avocado oil– Zest of 1 lime– 2 Tbsp lime juice– 2 cloves garlic minced– 2 tsp chili powder– 2 tsp dried oregano– ½ tsp sea salt to taste– ¼ tsp black pepper

Unpack and place cod on a plate or board. Remove excess moisture with paper towels. Completely thaw filets to cook evenly.

Blend the marinade ingredients in a measuring cup or bowl.Marinate cod filets in a sealed bag. Seal and stir the bag to marinate.

Place in fridge for 30 minutes to 10 hours. Turn on the air fryer for 5 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit before cooking the fish.

Cook the marinated cod filets in the air fryer basket for 8-12 minutes (depending on thickness) or until they reach 145 degrees F.

Cook the filets longer until they reach your desired crispiness, such as golden brown.
