Best Sticky Soy Steak Bites Recipe
These 15-minute saucy snacks with soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar are the right blend of salty, sweet, and tangy.
INGREDIENTS
-1 tablespoon vegetable oil -1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-size pieces -½ teaspoon salt -½ teaspoon ground black pepper, divided -3 cloves garlic, minced -¼ cup light soy sauce -¼ cup honey -2 teaspoons rice vinegar -1 tablespoon sesame oil -1 tablespoon sesame seeds, plus more for serving -1 tablespoon cornstarch
INSTRUCTIONS
Warm up a wok and add veggie oil. Season the steak with salt, ¼ teaspoon of black pepper, and chopped garlic.
Step 1
Stir the meat every once in a while for about 5 to 7 minutes, or until it gets a crust on both sides. Put away.
Step 2
Whisk the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, cornflour, and the last ¼ teaspoon of black pepper together in a small bowl.
Step 3
Put the steak back in the pan and turn the heat back down to medium-low.
Step 4
Once the sauce gets thick, cover the meat with it and cook for about 5 minutes. If you want, you can serve it hot with more sesame seeds on top.
