Asian-Inspired Air Fryer Turkey Meatballs Recipe

The air fryer makes these delicious Asian-inspired turkey meatballs easy! Make the dipping sauce to get a significant flavour boost!

For the Meatballs: – 1 lb lean ground turkey – 1 large egg – 1 Tbsp avocado oil – 2 tsp toasted sesame oil* – ⅓ cup gluten-free all-purpose flour – 3 stalks green onion finely chopped – 1 Tbsp fresh ginger peeled and grated – 3 cloves garlic minced – ½ tsp sea salt to taste For the Dipping Sauce / Glaze: – ⅓ cup coconut aminos* – 2 tsp sesame oil – 1 large clove garlic minced – 1 tsp fish sauce optional

Mix all meatball ingredients in a big bowl. You can mix everything with a wooden spoon or electric hand mixer, but I use my hands.

Make meatballs with a stand mixer's paddle attachment. Food processors can process turkey combination. The meat combination should make 10–12 meatballs.

Make meatballs with a cookie or small ice cream scoop. Place meatballs in air fryer basket single-layer. Two batches may be needed for small air fryers.

Air-fried the meatballs at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes until 165 degrees F inside and golden brown outside.

Small meatballs may need a minute or two less cooking time to avoid overcooking. Air-fry cold or big turkey meatballs for 12–14 minutes.

For temperature, insert a meat thermometer into the centre of the largest meatball (or spot check several) and wait until the numbers stop moving.

Make the dipping sauce while air-frying the meatballs. Mix the dipping sauce ingredients in a small bowl or measuring cup until smooth.
