The flavour and aroma of this are both really impressive. For a cup of tea, these scones are just the thing.
– 2 cups all-purpose flour– ¼ cup white sugar– 2 teaspoons baking powder– ½ teaspoon baking soda– ½ teaspoon salt– ¼ cup butter, chilled– 1 apple - peeled, cored and shredded– ½ cup milk– 2 tablespoons milk– 2 tablespoons white sugar– ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Put flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, and salt in a big bowl. Mix butter or margarine till crumbly. Shredded apple, milk. Mix into a soft dough.

On lightly floured surface, dough. Knead 8–10 times. Two 6-inch circles. Butterful baking sheet. Add milk, sugar, and cinnamon. One makes six pie slices.

Bake for fifteen minutes at 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius), or until risen and golden. Warm up and serve with butter.
