Amish Baked Oatmeal Recipe  


The hearty Amish Baked Oatmeal is a nice and cozy way to start the day.


– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted – 1 3/4 cups brown sugar – 4 egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla – 3 cups quick-cooking oat – 3 cups old fashioned rolled oat – 1 Tablespoon baking powder – 2 teaspoons salt – 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional) – 1 c. raisins or other dried fruit (optional) – 2 cups milk



Pre-heat the oven to 350. Grease a 9x13 pan. Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl. Beat each egg carefully after adding it. Mix in vanilla.


Step 1

Add oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon if using and gently whisk until combined. Mix in the milk on low speed. Add dried fruit if using.


Step 2

Bake a 9x13 inch pan at 350 for 28–35 minutes until the mixture is golden brown and firm. Serving warm baked oatmeal with milk, fruits, nuts, and other toppings.
